Dr. Salah Ghandour is a Medical Doctor and PhD in Physiology and serves as a Full-Time Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Beirut Arab University, Tripoli Campus. He earned his MD and PhD in Physiology from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Türkiye, where his doctoral research focused on the effects of acute and chronic stress on intestinal hemodynamics and inflammatory responses.
With extensive experience in medical and health sciences education, Dr. Ghandour teaches across Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Nutrition and Dietetics. His teaching and academic responsibilities include Anatomy and Physiology, Pathophysiology, Adult Health Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, scientific research, Interprofessional Education, and supervision of senior student projects.
His professional background also includes healthcare management, quality improvement, primary healthcare accreditation, and public health. Before joining Beirut Arab University as a full-time faculty member, he held academic positions at Lebanese University and Jinan University and served as Health Division Manager at the Azm & Saade Association in Tripoli.
His research and professional interests include physiology and pathophysiology, stress and exercise physiology, public health education, disaster preparedness and management, healthcare quality, health sciences education, and artificial intelligence in healthcare and education. He has published and presented research in these areas and regularly contributes to scientific conferences, professional training, and community health initiatives.
Dr. Ghandour's academic approach is interdisciplinary, bringing together biomedical sciences, health professions education, public health, healthcare quality, disaster preparedness, and emerging technologies to promote evidence-based education, research, and improved community health.
